I am a big fan of the artists artwork but unfortunately I was disappointed by this commission. The description says the artist proof will have a sketch of the artist's choice on the back but I assumed it would in some way be related to the Art on the card. The sketch I received on the back of this card was a gimp mask which was not really what I was looking for. I was hoping to bring the card to games but some of the people who play Magic are younger and it would feel inappropriate to bring this card to the table. It does say that is a sketch of the artist's choice so I should have been more weary of that but it is dissapointing none the less that this card will probably never see the table now given how much I spent on it.
Hey John! Thanks so much for taking the time to leave us this feedback, it really is invaluable to us! Godmachine is still quite new to the Magic world and so we're still not 100% sure of all the nuances yet. For eg, we treated the artist proofs as mini works of art only. We thought they would be stored or displayed as pieces of art - we did not realise that players actually use these cards in games & so we now completely understand your concerns about the suitability of the content, especially in terms of younger players! We obviously did try to make people aware in the listing, but can see where we could maybe make it a bit more obvious to the customer. For future reference, GM will consider requests for artwork [within reason] & a number of people have requested a sketch of the card art in the note section of their order & GM has obliged. Thank you once again for bringing this to our attention and we're sorry this wasn't the experience for you we hope for all our customers - Mrs G
